There are thousands of businesses who have used traditional and old fashioned rectangular postcards for their direct mail marketing campaign. They use the same standard sized postcards such as 6×11, 6×8 etc. People obviously get bored by the old rectangular postcards. If you offer something new to them, they will definitely attract toward your message.

Different and unique things of-course grabs the recipient’s attention then why don’t you try something different instead of old and traditional things. Instead of using rectangular postcards, you can use die-cut postcards for the high impact. The Die-cut design of postcards is the custom-made designs. You can cut any shape you need for your postcard. For instance, you can cut the shape of heart, cake, top hat, or any car. There is not limit of designs; the only limit is your imagination.

]]>

Where die-cut postcards are needed?

If you are mailing simple promotional offer, you can use simple standard cut for this purpose.  The standard size and design of postcards are more cost effective. They are cheaper to make and cheaper to mail. When response is critical and you want to get highest response then you should resonate with your audience. For this purpose, you need to make something different such as die-cut postcards. It will definitely grab your recipient’s attention like no other mail.  Die-cut postcards are just amazing for the announcement. You can use them for announcing an event such as any sale, sales ticket, big ticket items etc.

Consider a situation, when you open a mailbox you just pull out envelops, circulars, envelops or other squared, circled stuff – right? But think about the shape of card such as gorilla. If you got a postcard of gorilla shaped, then what will you notice first? Envelops or the postcard with a unique gorilla shaped? What your kids will notice? Would you like to share it with others? Yes. Ofcourse! You will notice the postcard first, your kids will like to post it on the fridge and wall, you would like to share to your friends and family.

Thus, choosing a die-cut postcards are always best way to go further, whenever you feel response rate is critical. They will always stand out for your business to get the attention of your postcard market. The perfect combination of postcards can be a best design with a well written message. A good design will grab your targeted audience attention and a good informative message will help your targeted audience to learn more about your business.

It?s an event to get a real, printed card in the mail celebrating your birthday or other special occasion. However in today?s high tech world most of us settle for emails, because emails beat hassling with stamps and cards. But now there is SnapShot Event, an iPhone app making it as easy to send an event postcard from your iPhone as an email.

?What a fun way to wish my friends or family happy birthday: just a few taps on my iPhone and I?m done,? says Joe Coplan a student at Colgate University in upstate New York. ?SnapShot is a mash up of new and old technologies that make it easy to send a picture postcard to my grandparents and then they think I?m great!?

Snapshot Event is a cousin to SnapShot Postcard, the popular iPhone application that sends ?real postcards to real mailboxes.? SnapShot Event adds the ability to choose from birthday, new baby, thank you or other artwork to build your event postcard. Borders or captions can be used on personal photos and distribution lists make it easy to send out party invites. http://bit.ly/SnapShotEvent

?We are particularly excited about the new caption feature,? says Ben Price president of NSN Solutions, the creators of SnapShot Event.

If you want to use postcards as part of your marketing strategy, you have to bear in mind postcard printing concepts. These concepts are not newly developed. In fact, they were here centuries ago. Early businessmen have been using them as part of their trading practices. Even your old folks and family members have all been sending and receiving postcards. A good proof of that are those old stocks that were placed or have been tacked on refrigerator doors and old cork boards.

Even though postcards are old, they hold very special memories of the old times. Before modern technology has been developed like text messages, emails, and social networking sites such as Facebook and Friendster that gives you the power of uploading and publishing images in real time, postcards have provided our old folks the ability to know where their friends and family members are and what they have been up to. Aside from that, postcards were also being used back then as a way of saying goodbyes and hellos. Located at the back part of the postcard is a space where they can write their brief messages and SOS in long hand.

Nowadays, the charm and effectiveness of postcards have not been lost. There are still several places such as airports and specialty stores that offer these cards for sale. Even though most people nowadays prefer to use high tech methods of sending their images and message through the internet because of its convenience, there is still a large market for these postcards that can be used by anyone even the young ones.

]]>

And just like other creative arts, postcards can also be used or linked to an art project for the kids. You can usually start it by determining its purpose. To whom is the custom made postcard? To a special friend, relative, or your boss perhaps? What’s the occasion, birthday, wedding, or just an ordinary day when you want them to feel that they are remembered? These postcards can be send anytime even on bad and good weather. This will help you attain the convenience that you always want to have.

When you have finalized the intent of your cheap postcard printing, you can now start with the design idea. If you have a theme in mind, then use it in your card. You can also take into consideration the interest of your receiver such as sports, music, art, photography and books. All these themes and ideas can be incorporated in your postcards to make it more effective when used. You can usually start by making a draft of your design in a clean piece of paper. You can also try experimenting on different things if you like to attain more ideas for making your postcards. It would be better if you can create a customized card for each receiver to make them feel more valued and appreciated.

When you make your own postcard, always remember that making this crucial marketing tool has to be fun. Always take time when organizing all your thoughts and ideas to ensure that it will be armed with effectiveness and functionality. Always focus your mind when creating your postcards as they will give you great result in return. Create one for your business today and experience the wonder it will provide your business.

The business industry is a big place and navigating through the different networks and marketing tools can be tricky. It’s important that from the start you already know what you want to achieve and how you want to achieve it.

If you want the quickest and most effective way to market these days, you may want to go back to the basics. Go old school in your campaigns and see where they may take you. You can take advantage of the benefits of the good old postcards. Your first thought may be these cards are expensive to produce especially if you want to create a custom design. That’s partly true, but if you keep in mind a few things, you can find cost effective approach to creating these cards.

What in the first place are post cards? They are actually the same cards you love sending to friends and family when traveling abroad and you want to tell them how great the place you have visited is. They are the colorful cards you use to extend your greetings to special people.

In business, these cards have their own special function. They are considered as one of the easiest and most economical approach to drawing attention to your business. Although small in size they can pack great marketing power that will help deliver your message to your target audience. These cards can also help widen your customer reach and increase your chance of getting more sales and profits.

There are actually many ways you can use the post cards in business. For instance, you can use them primary to promote your products or services. Aside from that, you can also use them as reminder cards, survey forms, order forms, and subscription forms to name a few. When designed well, these cards are sure to deliver your message clearly and direct to the point.

You can always decide to create a custom design that will reflect your message and your image effectively. A custom design will also be much convenient to your customers as they are able to understand what you want to tell them with just one look at the card. A coupon printed at the back of the card is always an interesting way to catch people’s attention, so consider putting one in your cards.

In terms of the design, your imagination is the limit. You can choose whatever look and feel you want to give your cards. The key to a great design is to pick one that is both attractive and functional. In order to do this though, you need to first determine the purpose of your cards. What would you like to achieve? Is it to boost up sales leads, increase profits, or generate more customers? Perhaps you want to invite people to your upcoming event. Whatever your purpose is it should be reflected on the design of your cards.

Different purposes need different designs, so you need to make sure that your put one message in one card. Don’t attempt to stuff everything in just one card. That will only make the card look confusing and unprofessional.

Done well, your postcard printing will be one of the most persuasive marketing materials you can ever have. So, be sure to put a lot of thought on the design and message of your cards.

Still need to send out holiday cards? Now there?s an iPhone app for that. SnapShot Holiday delivers real, printed and stamped custom holiday postcards to mailing addresses around the world, giving a high tech boost to the long standing tradition of holiday cards.

?What a fun way to send out my holiday cards, just a few taps on my iPhone and I?m done,? says Paul Butcher of Seattle, Washington. ?SnapShot is a mash up of new and old technologies making my holiday season easier!?

Snapshot Holiday is a holiday cousin to SnapShot Postcard, the popular iPhone application that sends ?real postcards to real mailboxes.? SnapShot Holiday adds the ability to choose from Holiday artwork (any holiday, not just Christmas) or apply holiday frames around personal photos and mail to distribution lists. SnapShot Holiday is available on Apple’s iTunes.

According to iPad user Theresa Arnold of Boise, Idaho, ?The holiday artwork is beautiful and a great way to let people know I?m thinking of them this season. But I especially like to wrap my personal pictures in the holiday frames to send to my family. Those always end up being shared and passed around!?

With either SnapShot product, you build your own custom postcard right on your iPhone. Snap a picture, or choose a holiday image, for the front of the postcard. Then type in a message and choose an addressee for the back. Press the send button and through the magic of technology your custom picture postcard is printed, complete with message, stamped, and delivered to the addressee?s mailbox.

Do you really want to log in to some anonymous email account or social network site and contact your friends that way? Or would you prefer to send a real, physical postcard with a photo that really means something to you on it, with words that come directly from your heart? Just because we live in a fast and technology-advanced world doesn’t mean we need to neglect the good old postcard! So here’s 10 good reasons to send one today:

1. Sending a postcard is much more powerful than sending an email. Not only does it ’say a lot more’ but it’s more personal too.

2. When you receive a postcard you generally know where it came from. A story is described and revealed through the words and pictures on the card.

]]>

3. People love to receive a postcard. It can make someones day and emotionally connect to people.

4. Sending a postcard gives the sender an opportunity to actually show someone where they are (or where they’ve been) in the world.

5. It can be (often) a beautiful gesture of friendship or love no matter who or where it comes from.

6. By sending a postcard you can share feelings and thoughts that might otherwise be difficult to express face to face.

7. The photo you choose to send to someone can really tell a story too – sometimes even more than words can.

8. It’s generally much more inexpensive to send a postcard to your friends or family than a normal letter (in an envelope) might cost.

9. You can send a postcard on the spur of a moment – especially because it’s so easy to do. Just purchase a postcard, add stamp, write and post!

10. We all love to receive a postcard in the mail. It’s a great surprise and often will be kept in a prominent place (like on the fridge or notice board) for a long period of time.

Now can you see how sending a postcard is completely different to emailing or chatting on social media sites? It’s a much richer experience! And people really appreciate getting a postcard too because they know YOU made an effort to send it!
