To start with, Save the Date postcards have become quite popular. Wedding events have used this type of postcard extensively. The term “save the date” has a positive response from the start for most readers as it grabs their attention and curiosity for what they should be saving a date for. All right, that is one positive consideration, but why a postcard? Postcards are simple to create. They offer a full photo and graphical signage capability as well as text, yet they are small so they are easy to create a very focused message. Additionally postcards are simple to receive. A second advantage of a postcard for the save the date receiver is it small and brief. This gives consideration for the receiver’s time and the small size makes the postcard easy to handle and carry. Although there is plenty of room to offer the who, what, and when essentials of any event. So by using a postcard you are being considering the time and ease of handling desires of the receiver of your message.

Best Museum Gift Shops
One of my favorite parts of a trip to any museum is exploring the gift shop. Usually stocked with unique goodies that highlight the niche of the museum, it’s kind of like the opposite of a gallery: you can actually touch and take home a piece of the exhibit. Another bonus of most museum gift shops? Free admission (unless you decide to buy something).

Not all pieces of mail, including postcards, can be mailed according to USPS. There are restrictions and rules that every sender should follow. As a small business company seeking for cost-effective postcard marketing campaign, you wouldn’t want to waste your time and money on prints that USPS will reject in the end. It’s easy to avoid such trouble. You just need to follow the postcard mailing regulations set by USPS. Here are few tips to help you:

USPS Mailing Regulations for Postcard Prints

* Before proceeding to have your postcard prints designed, you should check the proper layout indicated by USPS for the mailing panel. This should have the proper spaces and sizes for the address line and stamps. Most online printing companies will require that you use their templates for postcard.

* When preparing your files, you should check with the acceptable standards when it comes to bleeds, trim size and inner margins. If you are printing online, ask for PDF or printed proofs to check whether your designs will be sacrificed in following the regulations. This will enable you to make the necessary adjustments.

* Make sure that your prints follow the required white spaces that are reserved for postage and bar coding. You should also note the color of the font that you will use in case you want to put in some phrases in the mailing panel. Note that dimensions and exclusions in the mailing panel depends on the size of the postcards.

* You can also use Microsoft Publisher when creating your postcard prints. Just make sure to remove the template overlay in the file before submitting it to your printing company. This will help you avoid layout problems.

These are just few things that you should keep in mind and help you save your money and time. You will avoid the hassle of returned or rejected postcards because of simple errors on following USPS regulations. Printing companies knows about USPS regulations enough so they can help you with your postcard mailing.

You might be one of the thousands across the nation laid off work thinking of starting your own business or perhaps already have one existing and currently struggling to make a profit. The recession has hit us hard, and we all need to find ways to save on our postcard printing without compromising quality. A postcard mailer can say a lot about your company. Make a good lasting impression and uphold the standard of excellence of your postcards.

Here are some tips on how you can get additional savings on your postcard printing.

Stick with Standard Sizes

A postcard print does not need to always be 4″x6″. Stay ahead of the competition by making innovative postcard designs that stand out. Be careful not to choose an extremely misshapen postcard orientation as it tends to turn people off. Naturally, the standard postcard size of 4″x6″ would be the most economical.

Standard sizes are as follows:

4″x6″

4.25″x6″

5″x7″

5.5″x8.5″

6″x9″

6″x11″

my home has been in my family for almost 80 years,as of 6 days ago I’ve been here 60 yrs and it’s the only stable home my 9yr.old grandson has ever known. It’s going to the highest bidder on 2/7/2007 at 10 a.m. I have some antique pictures , crystal ware, ‘home’ cough remedy(c, 1790’s) ,sepia tapestry(c.1890’s)a strawberry blond (c.1898) ringlet(suitable for cloning) of hair, military uniform buttons, old coins, 1917 boot camp brochure(postcard style), dinosaur egg, runes, fossils, rock faces, scrimshaw screen, silver platters. Just about anything you can accumulate over lifetimes spanning 3 centuries. I can’t find boxes for the apple tree Daddy and I used to sit under or the porch we watched thunderstorms from. Nor for the window Momma and I watched deer in the yard as we washed dishes. There aren’t boxes enough to pack up the echoes of all the boistrious holidays, dinners, birthday parties, cries of our new born babies, children’s laughter, the sigh of a last drawn breath.PLEASE HELP
