I am going to europe in a few days and I want to send postcards back to my family and friends. Do I need stamps from the US, or europe, or both? How many stamps? Please help!

    You need stamps from this country you are visiting in Europe. I don’t know how much you need to spend for the stamps, ask there local post office also the hotels have stamps too and they are mailing the stuff to US.

    Go to the postoffice in the country that you are visiting. Buy the stamps there – the staff will tell you the exact denominations you need. You cannot use stamps from the US to send a postcard from Europe – if you send a postcard from Spain you need Spanish stamps, if you send a postcard from Norway you need Norwegian stamps and so on.

    Europe consist of 46 countries with 46 national laws and 46 national post offices. Each one has its own tarif for stamps. Some do have special rates for postcards, some don’t. I have listed an example of mail costs for a postcard by priority airmail to the United States.
